Crunchy toast serves as a perfect host to the guacamole spread with fresh lemon juice, tomatoes plus a dash of salt and black pepper. Let’s guac and roll!
To make this easy guacamole recipe, simply gather up the following guacamole ingredients:
1 Hass Avocado- The riper, the better; unless you are planning for a chunky version of guacamole.
Half Lemon- Freshly-squeezed, please!
1 Pinch of Salt -To Taste
1 Bangalore Rose Onion- We love the flavour of red onion in guacamole, but if you would like to make it a bit milder, just rinse and drain the chopped onion in water briefly before adding it to the avocados.
1 Clove of Garlic- Feel free to add them if you like!
2 Cherry Tomatoes- Red colour helps in the overall presentation. Deliciously healthy!
1 tsp Nutritional Yeast- The must-have vegan cheese! Can get it from the local organic shop. Healthy & yummy!
Black Peppers -To Taste (too much will make you get thirsty)
Chili Flakes- To Taste (I always wonder if there are Malaysians put Chilli Padi :p)
Sourdough Bread- Slightly Toast
Alright, let’s talk how to make guacamole …
- Mash your avocados: Add them to a large mixing bowl and mash with a fork or spoon until they reach your desired consistency.
- Mix in the ingredients: Add in lemon juices and salt, then mix it and later on put in onion & garlic. Put the guacamole on a slice of sourdough bread. This recipe is for 2 big slices.
- Topping: Add in sliced tomatoes, nutritional yeast, black pepper & chili flakes.
